Cala Llenya Resort Ibiza - Hotel

The gardens and palm trees make the resort lovely, and there are two pools, one for adults and a large one for children. Our room was spotless and cleaned daily, and the reception team welcomed us warmly when we arrived. We tried the half board option even though we usually don’t, and were glad we did. Dinner had a different theme each night, plenty of choice, and very good quality food. The evening entertainment varied in quality, but it was nice to have something for adults and children, and the effort was appreciated. All the staff were kind and respectful and helped make the stay pleasant. We’ll be back.

There were seven of us, adults and children, and everyone wants to return. The staff were brilliant, and we had a marvellous family holiday. The food, activities, entertainment and atmosphere were all great.

We loved having a garden terrace in the junior suite, so our little one could play on the grass while still in view. The double bed was great, though the sofa bed was thin and cramped and could use an upgrade. Both rooms had working air conditioning. The bathroom was fine but dated, while the shower had strong pressure and steady hot water. Cala Llenya beach is beautiful, with clear water, room to swim or paddle in the shallows, and plenty of space. It’s about a ten minute walk from the hotel, or a short drive. The bus to Santa Eularia stops right outside and was reliable, which is handy if you don’t have a car. There’s also a shop across the road with the basics, including €1 beers. The resort itself is clean, spacious and well kept. Food was freshly cooked, good quality, varied from day to day, and had plenty of options for kids. We’d never tried half board before, but would do it again. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional, and there’s a nice atmosphere whether you have kids or not. There were plenty of sunbeds at the pool at all times during our May half term stay, no 7am scramble. All in all, a great hotel and a great stay.

The restaurant gets very loud, so better sound absorption would help. Our ground-floor room also felt damp when we returned after being out all day, though airing it out fixed that and the smell went away. The setting is green and peaceful, and great for children, who can run around like they’re in a park. There’s a playground, mini disco, animation room, kids’ pool and swimming classes. I also enjoyed walking around the nearby streets, looking at the big white villas and eating really tasty apricots from the tree. Staff, animation and food were all five stars.
