Fergus Style Punta Arabi

The food was the letdown. There was plenty of choice and it was laid out nicely, but the buffet was cold whenever we went, and some desserts were frozen. The location was good, and Wednesday's Hippie Market takes over the grounds. Luckily, our room wasn't near the affected areas. It was otherwise a peaceful, relaxing place to unwind. Our room, number 1212, was clean, with an open-plan living and bathing area. We had two bottles of water in the mini fridge each day, daily room cleaning and fresh towels. There was no outdoor furniture, and the step down into the upstairs room was quite high. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool area was clean with plenty of sun loungers and a good sea view. A shame about the food.

We were on holiday in Es-Cana on 5th Oct 2025 and went to the resort to look around, since the holiday house had caught our eye when we visited the hippy market. We were thinking about staying there next year. As we entered the market area, a staff member saw we weren't guests, since we had no wristbands, and told us to leave. I said we wanted to view the place for a possible holiday, but he repeated that we weren't guests and ordered us out right away. I told him the company had just lost a future booking. Maybe we shouldn't have gone in, but he could have spoken to us kindly and directed us to the right person for a tour. His attitude was very rude and left me disappointed. If that's how staff behave, I wouldn't want to spend my money on a holiday there. Fergus holidays needs to do serious etiquette training if it wants members of the public to stay. I visit Ibiza every year and have been here many times, but I certainly won't recommend this place to anyone.

The pool terrace has great views, and the pool area and its staff are what make this hotel good. The location is good too. But the communal areas were disgusting, with rubbish and dirty laundry left out overnight. The balcony we paid extra for was never swept during our stay. Our room was small but clean, and was serviced every day. The restaurant had plenty of food, but the labels weren't adequate for managing dietary needs such as milk intolerance. At the breakfast egg station, they used one bowl to mix all the omelettes, and it had already had cheese in it, so there was cross-contamination. In my opinion, this is at best a 3-star hotel. It doesn't provide what's advertised, for example, not all restaurants and bars are open, and they're only open on market day.

The cleaning was good, the staff were friendly, and I didn't see any cockroaches. The shower was nice too. Those were the few positives. Our room was tiny, with two separate beds, which wasn't what we expected. The pictures online show a few loungers by the pool, but the place felt like a charm-free factory. The restaurant food was poor quality and industrial. On Wednesdays, there's a huge, soulless market, with nothing “hippie” about it. It made arriving with our luggage very difficult. Parking was inconvenient too, on a vacant lot about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The pool closes early, and several bars are closed except on Wednesdays, leaving the hotel with a gloomy, ghost-like feel. There's not much of interest around it either. The hotel is poorly designed and lacks taste. It certainly isn't a 4-star hotel, far from it.
