Room 101 was right next to a restaurant that stayed open late, so I could hear everything from loud conversations to the tables being cleared. After travelling, I was exhausted, but getting a good night's sleep was impossible. The noise started around dinner and carried on past midnight. I tried earplugs, but they barely helped. I asked the front desk to move me, but they were fully booked and couldn't. The staff apologized, which didn't do much for the problem. The room itself was decent, but the noise drowned out any good points. If you want a restful stay, avoid this hotel or make sure your room is well away from the restaurant.

The hotel is fairly central and a good base for exploring the island, most of the staff are friendly, and there's private parking under the hotel. But after four days, my overall impression was disappointing. We booked directly through the website, which advertises perks like late checkout and welcome presents. We got none of them, apart from parking, which we heard is pretty much free for anyone if there's space. The site also has a whole section about a local, sustainable breakfast, but there is no breakfast at the hotel, not even as an option. Instead, you get a 10% discount at a nearby restaurant. As a couple, with juice, coffee and something to eat, we paid between €40 and €50 euro a day. Late checkout is supposedly available depending on availability for direct bookings, but it costs €80. The site's promise of a welcome present was certainly overshadowed by all these extra costs. Maybe the bottle of water in the room was supposed to be the gift. The rooftop pool looked dirty, as if it hadn't been cleaned for weeks. There's a bar next to it, but it isn't open during the day, so you can't get a drink while sunbathing. The broken elevator was inconvenient. These things happen, but it was annoying since the car park can only be reached by elevator. The rooms are basic, the materials feel cheap, and the blanket smelled dusty and moldy. The shower was nice, at least. Everything else felt like a budget hotel trying hard to look nicer than it is. For the money, the value is way off once you count the extras. More luxurious hotels offer a better stay at the same price if you include the cost of breakfast. The staff were friendly, but didn't seem interested in making our stay memorable in a good way. Their decisions didn't show much care for the guest experience, and the website created expectations that led to disappointment.

For four nights we couldn't sleep properly because of noise from the street, the water pipe and the neighbours. The bed and pillow were very uncomfortable too, so getting rest was hard. This was the worst price-to-quality experience I've had. One day we couldn't shower because there was no hot water in the room. There wasn't even water or coffee in the room, and breakfast wasn't included. The room was tiny as well. For those prices, this isn't the service or quality you'd expect. The receptionist said he'd give us a 5% discount for the bad experience, but no reduction showed up on our final invoice.

We went for our honeymoon and found the hotel lovely, with kind, polite staff. The room was much smaller than the balcony room shown on the website. I understand there are four of those rooms, and ours seemed closer in size to the other three that aren't pictured. The site also said there would be a picnic basket in our room, but we never received one, and staff didn't know what we meant when we asked. After we complained, they offered breakfast for our last two days and late checkout on the final day if we wanted it. We didn't need the checkout, but those extras felt like very little compared with what we paid. The walls are thin, and our balcony faced a children's park, so earplugs are a good idea. Nice place, but poor value for the room we had.
