I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The hotel's replies to the many reviews about basic hygiene make it seem surprised every time, but the hygiene and health problems are real. The room smelled strongly of damp, the beds were old, and the mattresses were awful and uncomfortable. Even the cutlery needed a close check to see if it was clean. It's the dirtiest place I've ever seen. We reported a broken TV on day one. The next day, the room hadn't been cleaned and there were no fresh towels, so we went to reception to ask. On day three it still hadn't been cleaned. I went back and demanded it be done, and it took them over an hour to come. Cleaning is only available if you request it. They cleaned ours very badly that day, and clean towels also have to be requested. The website mentions an elevator, but there's only one in the main building. You have to walk to the rooms. I had to climb 80 steps with a bump on my back to reach mine. The hotel's responses here reflect what we found: a team of useless people who answer any question with “I'm not the owner of the hotel.” They seem to live in a different reality where filth is normal. The worst experience I've had. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

The room they gave me was basically impossible to stay in. About 10% of the rooms seem to be right in the public area, where it's extremely loud and anyone can see inside. I thought it had to be a joke, and left straight away. The staff were hostile and acted as if those rooms were fine. If you book, ask beforehand not to be put in one of the VI rooms near the pool. There were lots of noisy teenagers too. A horrible hotel, especially when there are plenty of cheaper places in the area that are much better.

The pool activities were the best part. There was a good range, the activity staff were lovely and friendly, and towards the end of our stay they also had entertainment for the kids, with the summer term coming up. The bar staff were okay, though they seemed miserable and worn out, which I can't blame them for. There were also two fights during the holiday; police came and people were arrested, and it scared some of the younger children staying there. The cleanliness was disgusting. Cockroaches were everywhere in our room, even coming through vents, and the maid kept leaving windows open. There was roach droppings all over the microwave and food prep surfaces. Under the tables and chairs indoors, a huge spider web had built up with lots of dead woodlice beneath it. The maids only changed towels and made the bed, even after we asked several times for a proper clean. The manager was no help and kept trying to get us to speak to her instead of our rep, which felt fishy. Our room wasn't mopped or vacuumed until the third-to-last day, after we'd been there two and a half weeks. The food hall wasn't clean either: cockroaches ran around the food while staff walked past and people kept eating. Our rep didn't help much. I'm under 18 and even I know this is disgusting. I wouldn't stay here again, ever, and this was the first and last time my family and I will use TUI.

The staff were lovely and helpful, and we had an amazing stay overall. Our rooms were nice, with a bath and shower, and we were lucky not to need stairs to reach them. I did see quite a few people climbing at least 100 steps to their apartments. The pool was lovely, deep for most of its area except at both ends. The food was the letdown. There was plenty to choose from, including salads and chips for the kids, but it was often gone or stone cold. To get a decent meal, you had to be there right when the restaurant opened. Cala Llonga beach is about a 10-minute walk away, with lots of restaurants and souvenir shops to choose from. For a budget two-star hotel, it was very good, and I'd definitely come back.
