Hotel Mongibello Ibiza

Mangibello has the most flawlessly designed hotel I've ever seen. Every corner felt distinctive and elegant, and the style made the whole stay unforgettable. The staff were warm and attentive from the start. My room was spacious, spotless and beautifully finished, the food was fresh and consistently delicious, and the pool area looked stunning and was perfectly maintained. I'd return without hesitation.

The beach below the hotel is a small bay with a bar and cafe, and the sea was warm and clean. We also enjoyed the gorgeous pool, with a sea view and some of the most comfortable loungers I've experienced. The place has a glam 60's feel, with cool music on the ground floor, a pool table and old school decks if you don't want to sunbathe. We walked along the promenade to S. Eurlaria's restaurants and shops, and ferries to Ibiza town, Formentora and the Hippy Market leave from there. We were there with three friends, all of us visiting Ibiza for the first time. The hotel was beautiful and spotlessly clean, and the staff were charming and helpful. Breakfast is a must, with plenty to choose from and even some fizz for a celebration. Loved our stay, and we'll return.

I was disappointed when my comment disappeared from Mongibello's social media. I value trust in a company, and removing posts to show only praise instead of responding doesn't feel transparent. We had a lovely family holiday in May 2025, and I would have rated our four-night B&B stay in a seaview suite four stars. We paid £1251. Now the hotel group has made Mongibello a five-star hotel, the same four days next year cost £2587, more than double. The upgrade seems to add a free airport shuttle, room service food for an extra charge, valet parking and a cocktail on arrival. A private taxi cost us just €30 this year. I don't think those additions justify another £1300 for four nights. The pool was beautiful and relaxed, and we enjoyed the hired bikes at 15€ a day. The quirky rooms and hotel fit the retro Italian style, daily complimentary water was a nice bonus, and the view was beautiful. There's a lovely beach bar on a secluded stretch in front of the hotel. The location is great, and the walk or cycle into town is lovely. Cleaning could have been better: after a few days there was fluff underfoot, and I had to ask for more shower gel. The shower was very small, about 80x80cm, and there was no bathtub. Breakfast was very nice and high quality, adequate for a four-star hotel. A chef made omelettes and fried eggs fresh, but even when it was quiet, an omelette took at least 15 minutes. To be fair, the one chef at the hot plate seemed to be juggling other jobs too. I'd expect more from breakfast now that the hotel has upgraded. One morning my 11-year-old daughter ate breakfast and took a small cookie in a paper napkin for a midmorning treat. At the door she was stopped and told to go back inside and not take food. I understand the policy and that adults sometimes take food for lunch, but please don't do that to a child over half a cookie. It didn't sit well with me. We'd love to return, but probably won't after such a steep price rise.

The room was huge, with stunning sea views, and we loved the special decor. The pool was so lush we cancelled our beach club booking rather than leave. Food and breakfast were fantastic, and the service was amazing, nothing was a problem. Taxis were easy to get, and the hikes straight from the hotel were top notch. We also had a great time partying at Lola's speakeasy. We'll be back!
