The location was really good, but the stay itself let us down. Our room had ants, and although we were told a cleaner would come, nobody showed up until our last night. Even then, the dirty pillowcases stayed put. The pillows were very flat, and the shower gel bottles had barely a drop in them, nowhere near enough for four days. There’s no air conditioning, so the room got very hot. The pool was alright, though mostly in the shade and quite cold. I wouldn’t come back, especially for what we paid.

Melissa, Nacho, and the lovely owners are the reason this place feels like home. The welcome and service are what make Africamar special, even though it’s a 3-star hotel. We come as a couple every October and can’t picture staying elsewhere. It’s also very well placed for shops, local amenities, and the bus stop. We’re already looking forward to coming back in 2026.

The bar staff were lovely, and the location is excellent. The place is a bit dated and needs work in quite a few areas. The air conditioning was broken, and the pool could use more ladders. I’d consider coming back if it gets a facelift.

I’m still awake writing this at 2 AM because the building alarm has been blaring all night. The air conditioning is broken too, and there wasn’t even a fan in the room. Being stuck with the nonstop noise and no way to cool down made for an awful experience.

We paid a great price for a 3-star hotel and got very attentive, helpful service. Our room was large, with a comfortable double bed, a decent view, and a clean, nice-looking bathroom. There’s a bar in the lobby. The pool by the street is pleasant and has a wheelchair-accessible entrance, though people passing by can see into the pool area if that’s a concern.
