The location really is excellent. Restaurants, shops, and the beach are all within walking distance, but the hotel itself didn't feel worth the price of its premium rooms. I stayed for three nights and was very disappointed. I paid for one of the most expensive rooms with a sea view, but the bar roof and a huge statue on it blocked the view. The room smelled strongly of must, the bathroom was so tiny that showering and drying off comfortably was almost impossible, and the old air conditioning couldn't cool the room even at full power. I told reception about these problems, but nothing was done. Since my stay was short, I didn't make a scene. I barely used the room or the hotel except to sleep because it was so uncomfortable. I know it's a 3-star hotel, but for one of its top rooms I expected much better. Sadly, I wouldn't return.

We enjoyed our stay, and for the price we paid it was worth it, even though some reviews on trip advisor had made us worry. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the staff spoke English. We had a lovely second-floor balcony room with stunning views, and the air-conditioning worked fine whenever we were in the room. The hotel is right on the seafront, close to the beach, bars, and other places to eat along the strip. The views of the water were stunning, and there were plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas available to pay for and use each day. It's a very good location. Breakfast was good, and dinner had different options on each of the four days we were there, though you have to buy your drinks at dinner. The cleaners were lovely. We didn't want the room cleaned, and as we were leaving they asked if we wanted fresh towels. The one issue was the bathroom: the shower curtain didn't keep water in very well, so the floor flooded easily. We didn't use the pool, but I believe it's at the hotel where reception is.

We had a great stay and would definitely come back. As a family of four in rooms 317 and 315, we were pleasantly surprised after reading some worrying reviews. Reception, restaurant staff, and cleaners were impeccable, friendly, helpful, and always greeted us. Our room was cleaned and we got fresh towels every day. This was my second time in Can Picafort, and the hotel made it especially enjoyable. The location is hard to beat, right on the beach, with shops, restaurants, and bars less than a minute away. We only had breakfast included, and it was amazing. The food changed day to day, with loads of choice, even my very picky sister enjoyed it every day. The rooms are a decent size for two and have a mini fridge, hairdryer, safe, and a small balcony. Ours faced the sea but also looked across at balconies from rooms opposite, which might bother some people, though it didn't really bother us up high. The WiFi was nearly nonexistent. Some days it worked for a few minutes to half an hour, other days not at all. We had to sit on the balcony to reach family or check our bank, and it was annoying, but we worked around it by downloading films and shows during the day. The TV only had Spanish or German channels, so we couldn't use it, but we watched things on our phones instead. The shower was small and awkward, and water got onto the bathroom floor because only a curtain separated it, almost like a wet room. The pool is down an alley, about a two-minute walk away, not inside the hotel. It didn't bother us: the sunbeds were very comfortable, the toilets and pool were clean, and the pool was quite big. These were small nitpicks beside an amazing stay.

The location was the biggest plus, with the beach just a few steps away, and that helped us enjoy the holiday despite some serious problems. Reception also lent us beach umbrellas for free, which saved us from buying one. When our child accidentally locked themselves in the bathroom, staff came quickly and opened the door. We really appreciated both things. The hotel felt old, and our room was small with a poor view. On arrival we found hairs on the shower walls. One evening at dinner, a female staff member, possibly a manager, shouted at a waiter in front of guests for quite a while. He had been kind and attentive, then left wearing his apron. The atmosphere was very uncomfortable, and our child was frightened. It was unprofessional and inappropriate. Around 9 PM later in the stay, the fire alarm suddenly started ringing. Our child was asleep, woke up crying, and got very scared. The alarm continued for a while. We packed our passports and valuables just in case, and my husband called reception, but they didn't know what was happening either. It was stressful. The worst moment was finding a small, sharp piece of plastic inside our child's ice cream, likely from the packaging. It could have been very dangerous. (Photo attached.) We tried to enjoy the beach and make the most of the trip, but the stay left us with mixed feelings and the hotel didn't meet expectations.

We stayed at the beginning of September and were appalled. The hotel in reality was nothing like the misleading pictures, and the staff were astonishingly rude. I can't see any reason to stay here, and I wouldn't return even if someone paid me. How it has a 3-star rating is beyond comprehension. With half board, drinks aren't included at dinner. They charged us an outrageous 3 euros for a small 500ml bottle of water. When we brought our own, Miguel snapped his fingers at us like we were pets and ordered us to leave. We ended up sneaking sips like children hiding in a school cafeteria. The buffet was monotonous, with the same dishes each night and only occasional uninspired changes at a small food stand. Breakfast was bizarre too, with carrots and sweetcorn instead of beans. The rooms were another disaster. The balcony was too cramped to sit on, the bed sheets weren't changed for six days, and the air conditioning smelled of raw sewage, making the room unbearable at times. The shower curtain flooded the bathroom, and the soap dispenser didn't work. The facilities were practically nonexistent: no pool table, ping pong, entertainment, or anything else you'd expect even from a basic hotel. The indoor pool and gym were at another nearby hotel, not on the premises. When I tried to use the pool, a rude staff member questioned why I was there and said it closed at 7, even though it was only 6:30. The outdoor pool here reminded me of a prison yard, fenced with iron bars and about the size of a small house pool, far from what you'd expect at a resort. It was locked at night, so you couldn't lounge on the sunbeds under the stars. The setup felt claustrophobic and unwelcoming. The terrace and roof were also locked extremely early. Save your money, this place isn't worth a penny.
