The washrooms and showers were a highlight for us, some of the cleanest, most modern and well kept we’ve come across on our travels. The bar was relaxed, with friendly staff and reasonable prices. There’s also a little shop for essentials, plus a pool that wasn’t open during our February visit. We stayed two nights at Camping Regio Salamanca on our way south after arriving in Bilbao on Brittany Ferries. It made a perfect stop. Salamanca’s centre was easy to reach, and the bus stop right outside made sightseeing simple. Our pitch was spacious and laid out well, though the pitches are open. Electric hookup was part of the pitch fee, which was good value, and WiFi was free throughout the site. Reception staff were welcoming and spoke very good English. We’d gladly return and recommend it as a handy base for exploring Salamanca or a short stop while travelling through Spain.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the campsite facilities were clean and tidy. The shower stalls are the biggest I’ve ever seen at a campsite. It’s about 6K from Salamanca centre, with buses every hour from the entrance. Pitch sizes vary from small to very large, and access is good throughout. Free WiFi reaches the whole site. There’s also a nice bar and restaurant, plus a shop stocked with essentials.

After 30 days touring Spain, this was easily the best set-up we found. It’s a large, open campsite with great facilities, excellent showers and toilets, and efficient, friendly staff. There’s a bus stop right outside too.

We spent six very enjoyable nights here with our Opus trailer tent. The pitches are fairly large and well kept, and it was pleasantly quiet in May. The cafe and bar were very good, and everyone was friendly, especially Alex and Miranda. Toilets and showers are basic but clean. The cafe also has a very good wi-fi work area for digital nomads.

Salamanca is easy to get to by bike or by bus, which runs once an hour, if you’d rather not drive. The layout of the site is good, and there’s a hotel bar and restaurant with friendly service. The facilities do feel worn and need updating, though. In the off season, the washing-up area and toilets are cold and unheated.
