Santa Olalla is a small town just 500 m down the road, with plenty of friendly bars and restaurants. The place itself has a lovely bar, and the sunrises and sunsets can be great depending on the weather. We stayed two nights last week and found the people running it very helpful and friendly, with very good English. When we had transport problems while walking the Camino, they went out of their way to help. Definitely more than a 2 star, highly recommended!
We paid €55 in advance, but I couldn’t recommend the place. At first we thought it was closed and eventually found someone. The first room smelled terribly of drains, so we switched rooms, then went out for dinner. The restaurant was closed, though that wasn’t their fault. The sheets weren’t clean, with a big stain down the middle of the top sheet, so we slept in our clothes. The shower was fine, but the towels were dirty and smelled too. Nobody was around in the morning for me to tell. Breakfast was a cake and coffee.
A nice place for a drink, or to celebrate communions and parties.
Friendly people and a comfortable hotel for when you’re traveling.
