We had a clean, comfortable room, and there were lovely direct views across the marshes just along the corridor. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was adequate. The hotel is well placed for visiting the nearby Salinas and seeing its abundant wildlife, especially the flamingos, and Santa Pola’s beaches are reasonably close too. Secure garage parking is available for an extra fee.
The main drawback for me was the location, about a 20 minute walk from the marina restaurants. Even so, I’d stay here again. The staff were the friendliest and most helpful I’ve met in a Spanish hotel, and the place is clearly well managed. Everything, from the entrance to the bedrooms, was spotlessly clean. Rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are large. Breakfast has lots of choice and is regularly replenished. The €16 evening buffet is great value with a good selection, and the house white wine was good too. The bar area could use some updated decor, though it was clean. A very good 3 star hotel.
It was nice to stay somewhere away from the bustle around the beach and marina. The hotel has bikes for rent, and we hired some and really enjoyed it. The pool area is decent, breakfast was nice, and the staff were friendly.
There weren’t many guests, so staffing was minimal and the service suffered as a result.
The pool was smaller than it appeared in the photos and only got sunshine from around 11am. That didn’t really bother us, though people who spend a lot of time by the pool might be disappointed. The room was great, breakfast was good, and everything was clean. Staff were superb when helping us with a few questions.
