The view through the large windows was fantastic, which made the rest all the more disappointing. There was no separate toilet, just one openly accessible in the one room apartment, so there was absolutely no privacy. The room smelled strongly of toilet cleaner, and it’s a shame the owner didn’t notice. Space was so cramped that we had to push our small suitcases under the bed, as there was no wardrobe or anything similar. The refrigerator under the sink, right beside the toilet where the wine glasses were kept, was a disaster. This definitely needs improvement.

The room was more basic for the price and smaller than it looked, and the curtains let in too much light. We were also surprised to find the entrance at the back, up a very steep staircase. An 11:00 AM checkout feels inconsiderate when check-in is at 3:30 PM. I doubt cleaning takes 4.5 hours when everything is so small. They could extend checkout or let guests use the pool until midday without it costing anything. We definitely wouldn’t stay again.

They explain everything very clearly and give you the directions you need to get there. The place looks just like the photos, and the morning views are unbeatable. I would have liked a microwave or some way to heat things up, but I understand that isn’t the concept. The coffee and tea capsules they provide are a really nice touch. Definitely somewhere I’d visit again.

From the Santa Pola mountain range, the views across Alicante Bay are panoramic, and the surroundings include protected natural areas, beaches, lagoons and mountains. There are lots of places to eat and things to do nearby. It’s a privileged setting for a relaxing holiday at any time of year.
