The area was very quiet, with not much going on, though the main train station is only a few minutes away and makes it easy to visit other towns. Since this is an adults-only, 16+ hotel, there were lots of Saga holiday groups from different countries. It was a nice break, but I don’t think I’d return. The pool is on the third floor, opens at 9, and people start queuing at 8:30. There aren’t enough beds for the number of rooms, and all-inclusive drinks don’t start until 11. The pool closes at 7, after which you have to use the other bar on level 2. Bar service could be slow. The main bar is in the corner of the room, and there are several steps down to the seating area. The basic disabled lift is tucked away in a corner, and I’m pretty sure one person couldn’t operate it alone. Carrying drinks from the bar to the seats would be hazardous. Entertainment was so-so, and the stage right beside the bar made it hard to hear. The beach bar and beds don’t open until mid-June; the beach is shingle and rough on your feet, with hardly any bars nearby. The hotel looks appealing when you arrive, and it has a small gym and sauna. Rooms are basic, with hardly any clothes storage, so we lived out of our suitcases. The food was presented very nicely but included a lot of fish. One hassle on arrival: the driver dropped us off and picked us up round the corner without explaining where the hotel was, so we spent time looking for it at 1 AM.

We loved our first stay and have already booked again for next year. The two downsides were the repetitive food, though it wasn’t terrible and there was absolutely something for everyone, and the lack of sunbeds. We managed to get one only once during the whole visit. Our favorite was the freshly cooked omelettes at breakfast. The rooms were very clean and tidy, and the beds were great. Reception staff helped us arrange a mobility scooter for my disabled husband, and the bar and waiting staff were friendly too.

The rooms were clean, but very basic, smaller than they look in the photos, and had little to boast about. For two people, a single wardrobe wasn’t enough, with no chest of drawers, so we kept most clothes in our suitcases. There was no iron or ironing board, and borrowing one required a cash deposit. I’d forgotten my card and had no cash. The bathroom had hand wash, shampoo, and shower gel, but no extras like a shower cap, slippers, or other toiletries. There was no kettle or tea either, and a kettle cost £5 a day. The bar staff were among the best we’ve ever experienced. They went out of their way every day and looked after us like VIP guests. The bars and shared areas are pretty nice. At reception, a blond, shoulder-length-haired Uranian woman with glasses was also amazing throughout. She answered our questions, clearly cared about our experience, and was benevolent, respectful, friendly, and polite. She always greeted us with a big, warm smile. Breakfast had variety, but felt more like a British than a Spanish breakfast, and the food wasn’t the best. Dinner seemed better quality.

The room was cold, and when I asked for extra blankets, staff said that wasn’t possible. They were unfriendly and unhelpful throughout, and paying for a late checkout wasn’t an option either. Even basic requests became a hassle. I needed an iron, but they required a cash deposit and there was no cash machine. The vending machine only took coins, so even getting water was difficult. Check-in took over an hour. Three people were at reception, but only one was working; the others didn’t acknowledge the queue. The person helping guests was extremely slow and seemed unbothered. After I finally checked in, my key didn’t work. I had to queue again to get it fixed and asked not to wait all over again. Many others were having key problems too, and nobody apologized. They told me magnetic items could stop the keys working, but I’d only held mine in my hand. After a long journey, I was exhausted and incredibly frustrated. The service and professionalism fell far below what I’d expect from a 4-star hotel. I’ve stayed at nearby hotels with much better service and, at the very least, friendly and polite staff. Very disappointing, and I wouldn’t consider this place worthy of a 4-star rating.

The location was disappointing, with little to do or see, though the area got very crowded in the evenings. There weren’t many bars where you could stop for a drink, and the shops all felt the same. We only found a lovely beach bar in the last few days. The room had a balcony and was kept clean, with fresh towels every day. The bar staff, though, were grumpy and unwelcoming. Despite the all-inclusive plan, drinks weren’t included until 11 AM, even though the bar and pool open at 9. You could get a drink in the restaurant at breakfast from 7:30, but couldn’t take any food or drink out. And this really isn’t an “all-inclusive” hotel: only a handful of selected drinks are included, so don’t expect a choice of poolside cocktails. There were only about 30 sunbeds, so I queued at the doors every morning from 8:15 to try to get one. For an adults-only hotel, entertainment was very limited too. There was no music during the day, just 30 minutes of “aqua gym,” and evening entertainment ran from 9 to 11 each night, with the disco playing music chosen by the DJ.
