Eurostars Hotel Real

Our balcony room was gorgeous, with a lovely view, and it was enormous by European standards. The old elevator is beautiful, with an adorable bench, as in the photos. The coffee pods were horrible, though the green tea was lovely. We didn’t try the restaurant, and the amenities were decent. A bellhop dropped my medium bag, which was under 20kg. My neighbor told me 🤣. We were next to the old elevator and stairs, and the soundproofing is minimal. Lots of rhythmic clomping. There aren’t many restaurants or shops nearby, but plenty within 2km. Worth knowing if that matters to you.

We stumbled on this beautiful, characterful hotel at the last minute during a holiday, so the price was especially high. The history makes it a special place and one not to miss if you’re around. Service was great, our room was clean and nice, and breakfast was great!!!

It’s an elegant historic hotel with a privileged spot above Santander and lovely views. From our spacious, clean third-floor room, we could see across the bay. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and well kept, and breakfast was fresh with lots of choice. Service was excellent. It’s easy to walk to the harbor or Sardinero beach, and there are two cozy beaches just below the hotel. The large fitness room has plenty of weights, machines and yoga mats, though it’s in a separate building. My only small gripe was that no doorman greeted us on arrival, which you’d expect at most five-star hotels. It didn’t spoil an otherwise excellent stay.

They advertise as having no pets, but dogs were on the terrace and nobody enforced the policy. While we were in the bar area, a woman came in three times and ignored requests to stay out. My wife had to stop me from asking for the complaints book!
