The host was helpful and really nice, and the center is about a 10-15 minute walk away. The rooms are small, but fine for the price, and the place was clean. You can hear some street noise, though it was manageable.

We left without staying because the place was so dirty. The duvets had stains, holes and hair on them, and smelled awful. The hostel refused to refund us and later said we had made it all up. This was the most expensive booking we had in Northern Spain, and easily the biggest disappointment. I wouldn't recommend it.

The windows faced an inner patio, so there wasn't much sunlight, though that didn't bother me since we spent most of the day out. The common living room was great, with a kitchenette and views of the harbor and mountains. It's a family-run hostel, the room was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean.

There are plenty of nearby supermarkets, fruit shops and bars, and once I figured out the buses and got a city bus card, getting around from here was easy. Walking to the center is also very doable. I stayed at Hostal Lucy in October 2023 and enjoyed it. The compact room was well equipped and spotless, with daily cleaning done properly. Staff were friendly and helpful. For a two-star hotel, it met my expectations across the board. I'd say it's a good fit for a stay of up to a week.

A welcoming, friendly budget hostal. The staff really make an effort to keep you comfortable.
