We left genuinely relieved to be gone. The apartment felt cold and damp throughout, with stains and mold on the walls, and the shower was clogged. Our two-year-old developed a lung infection during the stay, which we believe was very likely caused by the mold. The conditions were unacceptable. There were safety and comfort problems too. The beds were uncomfortable, the apartment poorly equipped, and the baby bed unsuitable. A curtain rod came loose and fell onto the baby bed, and electrical outlets were only 30 cm from the sink. Outdoor tables were packed just two meters apart, there was no privacy, and sound carried between units. It felt like a run-down motel, with no warm welcome or real hospitality, and the interactions were unpleasant and defensive. When we brought up these serious issues, the owner dismissed them and said we were blaming them to avoid our responsibility as parents. That was insulting and inappropriate. It’s hard not to wonder whether guest money goes toward maintenance or care. Check-in itself was fairly well organized, with plenty of instructions, and the location was convenient. Those were the only positives. The place was in shocking condition, and I wouldn’t recommend it under any circumstances.
