Hotel Palia Puerto del Sol

The staff were all excellent, and the facilities and sports were good. For a 3 star place it was a bit rough around the edges, but really good value, and I have no complaints. We stopped here in early September, right on the marina, and breakfast each morning came with the best views. The all-inclusive food was probably the best I've had on holiday, and food and drinks were available all day. Calador was just perfect for us, and the hotel is in exactly the right area, so we're planning to come back in mid-August next year.

The food was a little cold and repetitive, though we could always find something we liked, and the drinks were fine. Staff were lovely, and the small adults-only pool was nice to use. We had a lovely week. Our room was spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable, though the finish wasn't very good. For the money, it was very good value.

Cala Gran and Cala Petita were our favorite coves, both an easy walk from the hotel, with clear water and soft white sand. The location is fantastic. The grounds are spacious and well kept, and while there are some stairs, they weren't an issue for us. Service was excellent, and the entertainment team really impressed us. They were lively, fun and engaging. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying, though much the same each morning. Lunch and dinner had plenty of tasty choices. We also loved being able to get unlimited drinks by the pool. Our room was large and comfortable, but cleanliness could have been a little better. Housekeeping came daily, though we would have liked the floor properly cleaned every few days, not only in the bathroom. That small issue didn't take away from a very positive stay.

The entertainment staff were lovely and kept activities going through the day, from cocktail and pool games to walks and sports. Everything quietened down nicely later: all-inclusive service ended at 11pm and the bar closed at midnight. Our week here was great. The staff were friendly and ready to help, and the rooms were to a very good standard. Daily cleaning was average, with bins changed, beds made and fresh towels. The food and drinks made the all-inclusive price worthwhile. As at most all-inclusive places, lunch and dinner could feel repetitive, but the quality was good even when dishes were similar. It works well for families, couples or friends. I was surprised by how good the whole stay and standards were, especially after reading some other reviews. I can't recommend it enough.
