We spent four nights in a beachfront room for my birthday, and the room was excellent and cozy. It was completely quiet after 9 or 10 pm, and the atmosphere was very peaceful. The location was excellent too, about a 15-minute walk to the center of Calador for dinner and entertainment. Housekeepers were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, reception staff attentive and polite, and the room was very clean. Breakfast had plenty of variety, though it only starts at 8:00 AM. For the outdoor pool, entry begins at 10:00 AM. People queue at least half an hour beforehand to get the best spots, such as bungalows and sea-facing sun loungers. One unpleasant part was the egg and omelet cooks. They were grumpy, especially Estefania. Each day I asked for my egg well-done; she made an arrogant face and still didn't make it how I asked. You pay a thousand euros for a luxury hotel and get treated with indifference over a simple egg. Even so, my husband and I had a great stay.

The staff were lovely, and I loved the hotel during our two-week stay. We had a sea-view room, the pool areas were lovely, and the food was great. The frustrating part was getting beds by the beach cafe. We couldn't get two beds at the pool across the road during our stay, while some people reserved beds even as they rested on a cabana in the same area. I'd like to see time slots allocated for those beds.

We stayed at a nearby hotel and came here to book massages, so I can only speak to the spa. The booking included an hour of spa access. It was fantastic, and the massage was probably the best I've ever had. We'd definitely consider staying at this hotel.

The fourth-floor room wasn't large, but the balcony had a wonderful view of Cala Esmaralda beach. The location in Cala D'Or is amazing, and the hotel was kept very clean. Staff were kind, the breakfast buffet was great quality, and the downstairs spa was a bonus. Rubén the manager was the best! With the lovely weather, you can use the outdoor pools or walk a few steps down to the beach and watch fish in the crystal-clear water. Noisy neighbours and a shower that kept swinging to very hot water every minute or so made it less than perfect at times. We'll definitely return.

We came here for our honeymoon, and the sea and beach views were lovely. The town is about a 10-minute walk away, and the location is a big part of what you’re paying for. The room itself felt dated, especially the awful tiling, and the food was average. At over €300 a night, that’s a lot for the room. The beach and pool club across the road fills up early, so expect to queue for a sunbed.
