Iroco Hostal

The top-floor room was one of the best we’ve had, and we travel a lot. There was loads of space for big luggage and a huge, wide balcony with a sunbed. It could be a little noisy outside, but the balcony door blocked the sound well and we slept great. The air in the room was good too. We’ll talk about this room for the rest of our lives and definitely want the same one on our next visit to Cala d'or. The location couldn’t be better, close to restaurants, cafes, and 5 calas. You can walk everywhere.

The room was cozy and spacious, had everything we needed, and was cleaned daily. For a 1 star hostel, it was great. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The downside was a pretty unpleasant smell from the toilet drain, so we had to keep airing the room. The hostel is in a great spot in Cala d'Or, just a few minutes' walk from the beach.

The place was clean and nice, with daily cleaning and coffee capsules topped up. It’s a practical base if you’re travelling without a car, and I felt secure in the area as a solo traveller. Cala Gran is a three-minute walk away, and there’s easy access to three beaches, as well as nice restaurants and shops nearby. The staff were friendly.

The family suite was huge, with a lovely rooftop terrace, and had all the basics we needed, including a fridge, microwave and air conditioning. Everything was spotless. It feels more like a really good two-star hotel than a hostal, and the location is just right. I'd try to book a family suite for the extra space and terrace. One downside is the all-inclusive hotel across the street: the bands, bingo and water aerobics are broadcast loudly over speakers. There’s no elevator or breakfast.
