Casas do Sarela by Upper Luxury Housing

Victor, the manager, was rude, argumentative, and indifferent when I raised the problems. They gave a small credit, but I still lost money on several nights after leaving following just one night of a five night booking. The place felt hostel grade, not like luxury accommodation, and the location was far out with difficult road access. In the room, the toilet seat was broken and hanging off, the bedroom door and air conditioning were broken, and there were hairs in the shower tray. The kitchen cutlery was filthy and the wine glasses had lipstick marks. Avoid it.

I liked how quiet and secluded Casa do Sarela was, and it looked like the photos. Getting there was a bit difficult, but that wasn’t what spoiled my two night stay. The room was dirty, and the terrace hadn’t been cleaned either, so it wasn’t pleasant to use. It’s a beautiful place, but it’s managed so poorly and guests are treated with so little respect. ☹️☹️☹️

The setting has nature and historical monuments all around it. I liked how the architect brought the area's past together with the present.

The natural view from the windows and the zen décor made the apartments a lovely place to stay. They’re peaceful, functional, and well designed, with Santiago de Compostela Cathedral about a 25 minute walk away. It’s also well placed if you’re starting a pilgrimage from Santiago de Compostela to Finesterre.
