Hotel Ciudad de Compostela

My room was on the top floor, so I didn't hear noise from the street or other guests. It was the best night I've slept on the Camino. The room was clean, the breakfast was great, and the staff were especially kind and capable. I wouldn't usually spend this much on a room for myself, but I'm tempted to stay again before my flight home next week.

Maria at the bar makes fantastic coffee and always brings it with a warm smile. The reception team were great too, especially Laura. For a 3-star hotel, this exceeded my expectations: it's clean, the staff are incredibly helpful, and the location is convenient, about a 20-minute walk from the Old Town. Thanks for a great stay. We'll definitely be back!

The location is handy, close to the grocery store and next to a wash and dry place. I loved staying here, and the staff made the experience feel safe, clean, and wonderful. Michelle and her team are professional and friendly, from reception to housekeeping. My room was cleaned every day, and the bed and bathroom were properly cleaned. There's a fridge, which makes it ideal for staying more than 2 nights. They provide soap and clean towels, so just bring conditioner. Ask for hot water if you want tea. A hot water maker would have been nicer, but the fridge was good enough to keep my drinks, fresh OJ, and yogurt cold. The wash and just picture from next door was very convenient. I'll stay here again. One thing, please repurpose those very old towels. Don't let the next guest see the broken, ruined ones.

We'd booked 3 days at the hotel after finishing the Camino de Santiago, and then Spain and Portugal had a total blackout. We thought we might not make it to the airport. The receptionist deserves huge credit: at 4:40 she drove us straight from under the hotel to the departure hall of Airport Santiago in her private car. Thank you so much. You're a wonderful, incredibly empathetic team. I've never had service like that. Heartfelt thanks, and see you someday!
