Villa las Flores

There were eight of us, and this beautiful property worked out really well. Reception is in a separate building, and we were greeted very warmly. A few small things are worth mentioning: the pool was a little cold in January despite being meant to be heated, and there weren't enough dishes, glasses or pots for somewhere that can sleep up to 10. The access road is very steep too. Those things sound harder to deal with than they were. It's a very good place to stay, and we'd happily come back anytime.

The outdoor setup is especially handy, with a kitchen, barbecue and toilet by the pool, so you don't have to keep going inside and getting wet. The pool stays at a nice temperature, and there's room for a get-together with friends, family, or whoever. It has four double bedrooms, including one with an en-suite bathroom and another with a sofa bed.

It's a lovely spot to unwind, and the villa itself is beautiful and well located. The garden could use some attention, though, and inside it's not especially luxurious. The toilet door won't lock, the dryer doesn't work, the walls need freshening up, and some of the furniture needs cosmetic repairs.

The house is in a nice location, but the inside doesn't look like the photos and needs better upkeep. Cleanliness was disappointing too. The towels have yellowed, the kitchen has very little equipment, and the frying pan is in really bad shape.
