Apartamentos Estela de Altamira

I'd stay in the town instead. It's a beautiful place with plenty of good hotels, restaurants, and attractions within walking distance, while walking from this hotel means taking a dark, dangerous highway. Our room was okay, nothing special, and the lobby bathroom smelled awful. The owner was the worst part. We booked through airbnb, but he had the wrong address. After arranging a meeting time, I called for half an hour with no answer while we were stranded by the road, desperately needing a bathroom. When he finally picked up, he said he was conducting an interview. There were other incidents too. I'm glad we only had to stay one night; a longer stay would have been depressing. He kept calling himself the owner, and I honestly wondered if extraterrestrial life had been found at that front desk.
