Our host was friendly and full of useful information. We stayed in a clean, well-equipped room in a lovely old posada outside Santillana Del Mar, in a quiet area. The historic house does have some limitations, and our room was up one flight of stairs, though there seemed to be some rooms on the ground floor. We enjoyed a morning walk around the neighborhood, then drove a short way to the car park outside Santillana Del Mar to have dinner and explore the beautiful historic city. We had a lovely stay in September 2024.

We spent 3 nights here in August 2021 and would happily recommend it. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to children, and went out of their way to help, including arranging an early dinner and doing laundry. Breakfast was delicious and carefully prepared. I’m not sure what to make of the criticism in some other reviews. The rooms and facilities are great for a historical building, and the price felt fair for this upper-class accommodation just outside the summer crowds in Santillana del Mar. We’ll definitely come back if we drive through Northern Spain again.

The old building is beautiful, and the place was quiet, comfortable, and very clean. The staff were great and breakfast was nice. I’d recommend it.

A homely, relaxing feel, with friendly staff and a lovely building. There’s a nice secluded car park, and the freshly baked local recipes are a highlight, especially the delicious bread.
