Even with the hotel right on the beach, the cleaners get all the sand out of the room during their daily visits. A few steps from the terrace bar, the beach has about an acre of perfect sand before it gives way to rougher sand in the tidal zone. The view of the Road Bajas from the hotel is lovely. This is our fourth time at O Son do Mar. We first stayed when our daughter was one, returned when she was three, and now she's seven. It's always been a friendly, welcoming place.

The rooms are comfortable and modern, with decent quality, and the staff are friendly. O Son do Mar is a small, simple hotel in central Sanxenxo, just a few meters from the port and beaches. One small drawback is that you have to go outside to reach the bar.

The room itself was fine, but the noise was awful. I could hear the person next door snoring and watching TV, and drunk people from the attached bar were shouting outside until 3 a.m.

The views from the breakfast room were impressive, and the breakfast tasted good. The staff were kind and helpful, and the location is superb.
