It's dependable, clean, and well placed if you care more about convenience and peace of mind than trendy looks. The hotel is right across from the bus station, so getting to your bus takes about 30 seconds with luggage. That practicality leaves little romance when you open the window. It's also next to the police station, which feels reassuring even if it isn't exciting. The building is old but has been modernized decently. Rooms are simple, functional, and well maintained, and the staff are friendly and efficient. Segovia's historic centre is around a 10-minute walk away. There you can see the Roman Aqueduct, built in the 1st century, with 167 arches still standing since the 1st century. The Romans clearly overbuilt everything.

From our room we had a decent view of the cathedral, old town, and even a little of the aqueduct. It was spacious and clean, and an easy bus ride from Guiomar station. All the old-town sights are walkable too. The main issue was how thin the walls between rooms were. If next door is empty or the guests are quiet, you'll be fine. Ours talked loudly and coughed a lot, and it felt like they were right in our room.

The location worked really well, with the Centro bus stop nearby for easy Bus 12 trips to and from the train station. The aquaduct and lots of bars, cafes, and restaurants are only a 5-10 minute walk away. We found Hotel Corregidor good value for money during our very pleasant June 2025 stay. Our room was quiet and clean, the beds were comfortable, free Wi-Fi was fast, and the air conditioning handled the hot summer weather in this part of Spain very well. The service was excellent. The staff went above and beyond with our lost luggage problem after we arrived in Spain, and Yolanda at reception was especially kind and helped us make calls to sort it out. My only suggestion is to add a kettle for travellers who like making their own tea or coffee.

The food was basic, and the rooms were clean. The location was great. The cafe and bar only opened during restaurant hours, though, so there was no chance of getting a drink at 17.00 or after an evening out.
