We were very happy with our stay, and the views are spectacular. The three houses share a courtyard that leads to a covered dining terrace, barbecue, and pool. In the first house, there’s a ground-floor master bedroom with an en-suite shower room, plus another master and a twin room upstairs. The middle house has a master and twin bedroom upstairs. The third house has three floors, though the jacuzzi wasn’t working, and one room under a sloping ceiling was unbearably hot. The shower screen needs replacing, as the owner also noted, and one of the pool grab bars is in poor condition and should be replaced. A few repairs and updates are needed, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The pool is a real treat. You can cycle to Ojuelo, a hamlet belonging to Segura de la Sierra, in about 30 minutes. There’s a spring there with very cold water from underground, and drinking it feels like you’re hydrating yourself with the purest blood on Earth.

It’s wonderfully peaceful, and the location couldn’t be better. The owners are incredibly friendly, make the stay pleasant, and offer tips on the area and things to see. Highly recommended.

The shared facilities were the biggest problem: barbecue, pool, park, and common areas. There was no COVID-19 protocol, disinfection log, or staff to clean these spaces. The Civil Guard patrol came several times during our stay asking for the log, which wasn’t available. Guest departures are staggered, but there was nobody to disinfect before the next arrivals. We also found lots of kitchen utensils missing, and the mattresses were worn out. We rented the house for a family weekend after the owner had given us very high expectations, but it turned out to be three apartments and left a lot to be desired. We won’t be back.
