Senda Caimari

Our room, number 3, worked great for us and our teenage kids for a night. It had two floors, with a large upstairs room with a sofa and desk area, plus another bedroom downstairs. The staff were kind, friendly, and really helpful. The hotel sits in a beautiful old town with a 13th-century cathedral. I'd definitely recommend it.

The location was great, and the service was attentive. Breakfast was pleasant, although the choices were limited. Our room was on the small side but still fine to manage. I enjoyed the stay and would recommend this bed and breakfast.

The town is small and quiet, and the hotel looks nice, but our first room was a rough stay. We were in room 4 facing the street, across from one of the few terraces in town. Locals sat there drinking and talking loudly until midnight, then people were back in the morning for coffee and conversation. The windows are so thin that it felt like they were in our room. The room also connected to the neighboring house, which was being renovated, and workers started drilling at 7:30. That's hard for the owner to control, but the poor sound insulation at the front of the hotel could be improved. After the first night I messaged the owner, who lives in Barcelona, to ask about changing rooms, but got no answer. I texted again after the next night and then got a reply offering a room at the back, which was much better. The lack of soundproofing, together with the slow response, is why I rated it this way.

It took some effort to get into the building, since nobody was there to let us in. In the end, another guest who was arriving helped us find the key code. There aren't many places to eat in the village, especially on a Monday. Even so, it was a pleasant place overall.
