There were eight of us, and everyone was pleased with the stay. We spent two nights here; the room was clean and comfortable, just right for what we needed. Breakfast was very good, dinner was excellent, and the food felt top class without being expensive. The restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. We’ll definitely come back.

A great base for moving between villages and towns in Andalucia. The hotel sits at the edge of Setenil, but the whole town is within walking distance. It has free parking, and you’re about as close to the center as you can get by car, since the streets there are very narrow and have no parking. Staff were friendly; coffee and breakfast were basic but fair.

We’d planned a simple dinner near our Airbnb, but the kitchen there was closed. Someone suggested this place, and we hesitated because it was a hotel. That turned out to be the best meal of our two-week trip from Seville by far. If the restaurant were in London, I think it would make the Michelin guide at the very least. We had toast with roasted aubergine, prawns with avocado, and rice with scallops, all amazing. I’m trying to work out how to get back for lunch.
