Barcelo Sevilla Renacimiento

The biggest letdown for us was dining. The food presentation was decent, but the restaurant and poolside choices were limited and repetitive. There wasn’t much variety, especially for a longer stay or for families looking for lighter, healthier meals, and the prices felt high for what was on offer. We expected better from a hotel of this standard. We still had a lovely stay and would happily return. Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento is modern, spacious, and well maintained, with comfortable, clean rooms, very good facilities, and an excellent pool area for relaxing after a day in the city. It feels calm and premium, and could suit couples or families. The staff made a real difference too. Everyone we met, from reception to housekeeping and the restaurant, was polite, welcoming, and eager to help with questions or requests. Their kindness and effort stood out. With better food quality, variety, and value, this would have been a five-star experience for us.

We had a great family stay in January and will definitely return. The location worked well, with taxis right outside and a lovely park nearby for an afternoon stroll. Breakfast had lots of choice, including healthy options. Our bed was huge and very comfortable, and daily housekeeping kept the spotless hotel and our room in perfect condition. The staff were incredibly welcoming and even let us check in early, which was a real bonus after arriving early in the morning. Highly recommend for families.

The welcome felt a bit cool. We arrived late at night, and nobody offered to help carry our bags from the underground car park to reception or our room. The hotel has a holiday and conference feel, with impressive facilities like a pool and gym, but getting into or out of Seville takes a €10 taxi ride. Breakfast was amazing. Dining choices at other times were limited, and only one of the two bars was open. It overlooks the road, but Carlos at the bar was fantastic.

The pool rules have changed recently, which was disappointing and would have affected my booking decision. Children are limited to 12 pm to 4 pm, and it costs €8 per child per day plus €14 per adult per day. That feels ridiculous and will put families off. It’s quite far from anywhere unless you’re visiting the theme park next door, so getting into town can be a hassle. Taxis are easy enough, but the cost adds up. The hotel is a decent place to stay if you understand its limits, but it’s nowhere near five-star: the room decor and amenities are four-star at best. On the plus side, the staff are really nice, especially Carlos the barman, the Wi-Fi is good, the breakfast buffet is excellent, and the beds are comfy.
