Hotel Bellavista Sevilla

Good value for a city visit. The hotel was easy to find, and though the parking was tight for a large car, it was very handy. It’s a fair way from the city, but there’s a bus stop nearby. I found the train worked well for me, and the walk from the hotel to it is only 10 minutes. In bad weather one day, I used a taxi, and Uber worked well too.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was very good, though there were too many pastries and sweets for my taste. I missed having more cheese, or at least cream cheese. There was only one kind of sliced cheese. It would also be helpful if they sold postcard stamps. The rooms were clean and modern, with AC. The pool was clean but could use more deckchairs. I don’t know what chemicals they use, but it stripped my hair dye, which has never happened to me in other chlorinated pools. My room faced the main street, and sometimes at night it sounded as if the windows were open. The windows don’t block much noise.

The rooms are great, and the beds are really comfortable with good pillows. But avoid the restaurant like the plague. The potatoes weren’t properly cooked, possibly raw, and the steak was tough as an old cow. The staff seemed unhappy and uninterested. Very disappointing, not recommended.

If you’ve got another option, take it. The service here is horrible. They charge for ice, charge a fee for the pool until you return the towel, and even an espresso costs extra.
