Casa Señorial Siglo XVIII

We liked being in a local neighbourhood while still having an easy walk to the tourist spots. You can hear some street noise because the apartment is right in the old city, but it could be a lot worse. Inside, it was peaceful and beautiful, with a design that reminded us of an old palace or Arab baths. The bed was comfortable, and the place had plenty of useful equipment, including a washing machine and dishes. Our host also shared helpful suggestions for local restaurants and wines to try.

The renovated studio was lovely, and the location was great. The staff were quick to respond, and I appreciated that. But the connecting door to the neighbouring room let through a lot of sound. Our neighbours dragged chairs and talked loudly after midnight, which woke us up. Light sleepers may have a hard time here. A towel rail for hand towels in the bathroom would also be useful.

The PIN code made getting in and checking in very easy, and the location was great. But traffic and the children's language school downstairs made the place extremely noisy day and night. Customer service was disappointing, apart from María. They wouldn't deal with problems such as the misleading parking information. Cleanliness also fell short: we found crumbs, black hair, and cobwebs throughout the accommodation. For the price, I expected better.

The room itself was good, but I wouldn't stay here again, especially for what it cost. There was construction noise from 7 am, and the room hadn't been cleaned or supplied with fresh towels. We couldn't store our luggage when we wanted to spend longer in the city, which was really inconvenient. Check-in was complicated and at a different location. Service wasn't very helpful or accommodating. The bathroom smelled awful, and the upstairs shower had no hot water.
