Monte Triana

The bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable, with a large, comfy bed and modern, clean bathroom and shower. The rooftop has a bar, pool, loungers, and seating, a nice place to relax after a long day seeing the sights. Breakfast is plentiful, with a good selection, and the dining room staff are friendly, welcoming, and quick to keep everything stocked and tidy. The hotel is at the back of the Triana Area, about a 10-minute walk from its main street. It’s handy for the Market by Puente De Isabel Bridge, and from there you can cross to the main shopping area and old town for restaurants and bars, or follow the river toward the famous landmarks. If you enjoy walking and getting your steps in, it’s a good place to stay. The hotel is clean, and reception staff are welcoming, helpful, and informative.

It’s a great hotel, and the reception team were amazing with us. The one letdown was the young woman at the pool bar. We waited 30 minutes for two cocktails. When my wife asked how much longer they’d take, she replied, “I only have one pair of hands!!!!” Meanwhile, more than 40 people came and went and got drinks. Maybe they shouldn’t offer cocktails there, or should have a second staff member helping.

I liked being able to choose what to fill my pillow with, and the breakfast had plenty of variety. The waiter also brought fresh churros around to diners. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the pool area was beautiful. It’s a modern, fresh-looking hotel in a peaceful location, about a 25-minute walk from the centre. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. A superb place, and one I’d return to.

The rooftop pool and bar were a lovely place to take in the view toward the Cathedral. From Monte Triana, most of the sights were about a 20-minute walk away, and there were plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. We had a fantastic three-night stay: the staff were attentive, our room was spotless, and the bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast had a very good mix of hot and cold food.
