Posada Sierra De Ibio

Jordi arranged visits to local places of interest, and we also enjoyed a seafood lunch in Comillas, a lovely spot on the coast. Cantabria is beautiful, and it was nice having room outside to sit, chat, and take in the views. We were a group of 15 old friends together for a reunion, and the Posada Sierra de Ibio suited us perfectly. The hosts, Jordi and Oscar, made us feel so at ease it was like staying with family, and they accommodated all of us comfortably. The building has plenty of charm, the rooms are delightful, and the beds were really comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Dinner was something we looked forward to every day. The food was glorious, a lovely way to end each day in those peaceful surroundings that felt like stepping away from the world. We came as a couple with two dogs and a cat, and Òscar and Jordi couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Thank you both, we're very grateful.

Jordi and Oscar welcomed us so warmly and were excellent hosts. We loved staying here. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place, well located for excursions around the area, and great value for money. I’d highly recommend it.

I slept better than I have in ages during my week here. I was on my own while shooting a promo video, and first stayed in a large room with a spa overlooking the Posada, then moved to a smaller room to film from another angle. Maybe it was the bed, maybe the quiet, but I came back to the city feeling reborn. Jordi and Oscar were lovely and gave me great tips for food and beaches. It rained while I was there, but the place was so cozy that I enjoyed it as a winter break. Oscar cooks amazing food at the Posada, and they told us it was all fresh from the farm. We even walked a few doors down to collect local eggs. I only ate out twice and spent the rest of the time eating at the Posada, because it was the best in Cantabria! The full bodied local red wine was great, and there’s also a very cute Posada dog called Jumping who greets you when you arrive. One night they arranged a traditional Cantabrian dance, and some locals came by dressed up. This isn't usually part of my job, but I wanted to share my experience.
