Cuevas La Cocinillas

The house was awful. It was filthy despite the advertised cleaning service: there was dried dog feces, dog hair on the sofa, terrible mattresses, and a damp smell. I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here, however cheap it is.

We spent three nights here, and they were the most uncomfortable. The cheap price makes sense: the facilities are old, dirty, and neglected, as if nobody had cleaned them in two months. There was mold in the shower, hardly any barbecue equipment, and a strong smell of damp. The old beds were very uncomfortable, the sheets were itchy, and there wasn’t even a fan. It may be cooler inside, but if you run hot, sleeping there will be impossible. The pool is small, with a maximum capacity of 10 people, so if another tenant is using it, there probably won’t be room. The town is fine if you want to disconnect, but there are no bars or supermarkets nearby, so bring all your supplies. The only good thing is the price, and even then it isn’t worth it. I don’t recommend it at all.

It’s a spectacular place, clean and very spacious, and we had a great weekend. The mattresses and pillows weren’t very comfortable, though. For a short stay that wasn’t a big deal, but it could be a problem if you’re there longer.

We were quite unhappy with the stay. The minibar is too small for a family, and despite what the internet says, there were no cleaning products apart from dish soap. You’d have to use that for the bathroom, floors, and dishes, or buy your own. There are no umbrellas by the pool either. It seems more suited to couples or friends than families with children or elderly people. On the positive side, they returned our money.
