The spa was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, so it was a letdown to find out we couldn't use it. We were told at check-in that it was open, but when we tried to go in, we learned that guests had to reserve a time and there were no slots left. That requirement wasn't mentioned on the hotel website, Booking.com, or Google. We felt shortchanged, and the stay didn't feel worth the total cost.

We stayed three nights. The historic feel made a great first impression, with stone walls and old furniture in the corridors. But there were some serious downsides. Housekeeping left the same one-liter bottle of drinking water in the room for our whole stay. There was also a horrible smell near the cafeteria, by the stairs down to the -1 floor, and it reached our bathroom through the ventilation pipe. It smelled like dead cats and rats. Please deal with it right away. I can't give this hotel five stars.

We loved our stay so much that we added another day. The hotel has good food, vegetarian choices, a great breakfast, friendly people, and a lovely area for walks. The sweet, gentle street cat behind the building was a favorite too. We bought him a food and water dispenser and hope other people will sometimes top it up with water and kibble. 😍❤️

We had a great time here with our three kids. The staff were really friendly, the rooms were clean, and the beds were excellent. We spent our days out in the Pyrenees canyoning and kayaking, then ate at local restaurants. Come for the peaceful surroundings and the area, rather than luxury or a fancy lobby.

The breakfast and dinner were both good, and the hotel itself was nice. Just keep in mind that access to the spa and indoor pool costs extra. Also, if your room is near the restaurant and bar, it can get noisy until 1:00 am.
