We were driving from Croatia to Portugal, and this was easily the best place we stayed. The host was the best I've ever met. The beautiful house and the incredibly quiet traditional village made it feel like stepping back in time. If you want to put your worries aside for a while, don't miss it.

We mainly needed a place for the family to sleep, and this bed and breakfast did the job well. We arrived late, but James was very cordial and got us settled comfortably. The walls are thin, so keep that in mind if noise bothers you. I could hear someone in the next room snoring loudly, though I did have earplugs with me. Breakfast was generous, with lots of local, strongly flavoured savoury food and sweets. It felt homey and relaxed. There's a TV in the lobby with movies, plus a Playstation 3 to play, including Wolfenstein The New Order. Excellent taste! The only thing I'd criticize is the weak WiFi signal. You may have to wander around to find a decent spot to get online. I hope they can improve it with some extra WiFi hubs. While we were loading our luggage into the car, a pack of cats came up the driveway. Not sure if that was good or bad, but it caught my attention for a moment. They seemed nice enough.
