We came in January, when the place was mostly empty, and the host was nice. She quickly came over after we called, as she wasn't at the front desk when we arrived, and she gave us a heater and blankets. But we had planned to cook to save money, and the kitchen was dirty: food marks on the appliances and utensils, dirty plates, and food in the fridge that smelled bad. We've paid even less elsewhere and had a much better stay. At the end of a hike, you want somewhere clean and comfortable, and this didn't meet that standard. I wouldn't really recommend it. I hope the host takes the feedback seriously and makes some changes. Pilgrims would appreciate it, and it could help the business, especially since the place is promoted so much around town.

A few minutes' walk off the Camino, but the location worked for us. The shower was lovely and the bathroom clean, although they could've emptied the toilet paper bin. The kitchen was basic and seemed to be out of gas. It got a bit noisy at times.

Other people who were living there temporarily shared the bathroom and kitchen. When I came back from dinner, my shoes were gone. I made a fuss and got them back. Avoid this albergue.

It wasn't clean, and the shared bathroom was too much for the price. I've had a private bathroom at a similar price elsewhere. Avoid.

The service was great and the rooms were okay. Silleda is a dump.
