El Rincón del Alma Mía

It was February and just 1 degree Celsius outside, but the house was already heated when we got in, which felt wonderful. Downstairs there’s a kitchen with everything you’d expect at home, including an oven. Upstairs are two bedrooms, a living room, and a bathroom. Samuel was a wonderful host, and we were truly delighted with the stay.

We loved Simancas and had a great weekend there. The place is right in the town center, yet there was no bothersome noise. It had everything for a comfortable, independent stay, including an oven, refrigerator, washing machine, and ceramic hob. The beds were very comfortable, too. We were delighted when we arrived and just as happy when we left.

Gema made us feel at ease about getting to the Goya Awards. Valladolid was expected to be gridlocked that day because of the crowds and farmers' protests, so she offered to drive us if our taxi didn’t work out. We didn’t end up needing a ride, but I’m very grateful for her reassurance. She also gave us a lovely tour of the town when we arrived. The house itself is well equipped and right in the historic center of Simancas. Thank you so much, Gema!

The woman who runs the place was so friendly and attentive, and even left us milk and muffins. The house was spotless, warm, cozy, and had everything we needed. It’s right in the town center beside the main square. We’ll definitely return.
