The free bike service is a nice extra, so remember to ask for it. The main drawback for me was how thin the walls are. You can hear all your neighbors, which makes it hard to sleep if you’re a light sleeper. Light also comes in through the glass window in the apartment entrance door in the morning, so a sleep mask might help if that tends to wake you up. The basics are mostly covered: there’s enough kitchenware to cook, the beds are OK, and the bathroom is clean and works as expected.

I knew the station was a bit of a walk away, but only found out after reaching the address that check-in was another mile away. I was travelling alone without a car and had to walk about 20 minutes more to collect the key. When I asked about a ride back, they booked me an €8 taxi. My room was on the second floor, with stairs as the only way up, so anyone with a physical disability should be aware. The two reasons I booked were Wi-Fi and an airport shuttle. The connection dropped often, and the “shuttle” was just them calling me a taxi, which they said would cost roughly €80. Safety matters to me as a woman travelling alone. The door only locked with a sliding latch. I usually put a piece of furniture in front too, but the only option was a plastic lawn chair. If the door window is open, someone can reach the handle through it. You can hear everything through the walls, and I had to sleep in noise-cancelling headphones to get any rest. It’s doable, but not a great way to sleep. Two stars because Sitges is great, and if you’re okay with all of the above, it’s a decent budget place.

The apartment was cool enough for us, though I don’t know how hot it gets in summer. The main nuisance was collecting the keys at a different hotel. We took a taxi, which was surprisingly cheap. The city center and railway station are within walking distance, and I’d definitely return. It’s decent value for money. The place isn’t very modern, but it had what we needed, including a nice toilet and shower, a kitchen, a big fridge, and a large balcony overlooking the backyard. That yard gets sun from 9:00 to 19:00, and has two pools, one for kids and a bigger one for adults.

The rooms are OK, but there are no services available. The apartment was far too hot for spring, summer, or autumn, with no air conditioning. The stairs are very narrow and dangerous for children. There’s no protection on the windows. If you open them at night for air, lots of bugs get into the room, and lizards come in with them. A very bad experience.
