Hotel Piccadilly Sitges

The staff were kind and helpful, and our room was kept clean every day. It’s about a five-minute walk to the beach, restaurants, and bars. We could sometimes hear people in other rooms or in the hallway. We stayed a few nights and had a decent experience.

We only stayed one night, and the room worked well for that. It was charming and very clean, in a great spot near the centre of Sitges. The reception staff were lovely and really helpful.

There’s nothing I can recommend about this hotel. Our room was tiny, the bed was uncomfortable, and the balcony room we booked didn’t even have a full-sized window. The walls are paper thin. From the first floor you can hear the front door bell and reception conversations, and we could make out the words from neighbours having sex. We arrived late with our sleeping two-year-old and spent nearly an hour checking in and sorting out parking. The receptionist seemed to be trying, but was painfully slow. He also tried to charge us even though we’d paid through booking, and it took more than 20 minutes to find the payment. This was close to midnight. We barely slept, so the stay felt like a complete waste of money. I can’t understand how this is rated three stars; two would be generous. It’s an old standard, and I’d never book it again.

For the very low price we paid during Pride, this was exceptional value, and I’d stay again as long as I went in knowing some standards wouldn’t suit me at a higher-priced hotel. We asked for a quiet room and got one. It was also spacious, with a decent-sized balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful, though the hotel has plenty of faults and hardly any facilities. The shower curtain was quite dirty when we arrived, so I got a clean one from reception and replaced it myself. The towels sometimes had a musty smell, like they’d been folded away before drying completely. On two days we had no hot water around 5 pm, but it came back after about 15 minutes. The low rate is a big part of why I gave it four stars.
