The studio is about a 15-minute walk from the center, and parking was available. We had no trouble finding a space this time of year, despite earlier comments about high-season parking. The pool looked inviting, but it was freezing cold at this time of year. Inside, the studio wasn’t especially clean. The kitchen also had an odd issue: turning on the light started the extractor fan, which wasn’t ideal.

I loved the rooftop pool and would stay here again. The apartment itself was really nice, though it’s quite a walk from the town center. It wasn’t cleaned at all during our 10 days, so we washed our own bedding. That wasn’t a huge problem, but fresh bedding would have been nice.

We arrived as planned on September 2 at 9:30 pm and waited half an hour for the receptionist, ringing the bell five times. He was drunk, shouting and insulting me, and insisted our booking had been cancelled because the hotel company hadn’t paid for months. That wasn’t true. He put us in a makeshift room that was dirty and hadn’t been prepared. Then, on September 5, we had no hot water in the bathroom, and reception couldn’t be reached. The worst hotel or apartment stay I’ve ever had, in Spain or anywhere in Europe. Our vacation was ruined.

The bed was my one issue: it was two singles pushed together, and they kept sliding apart. Otherwise, it was a great stay, easy to find, clean, and equipped with all the amenities. The heating and hot water were great too. I’d stay again.

There’s a great rooftop pool, and the apartment is very secure. It’s spacious, modern, and luxurious, and was a bargain in the off-season. The historic center, rodales (commuter train), and beaches are around a 10-15 minute walk away.
