Sitges Beach Hostal

I had a room with a little terrace, a small fridge, smart TV, air conditioning and heating, somewhere to hang clothes, and a shower bathroom. Toiletries were there, and they cleaned the room once during my three-day stay. It's an ideal little place near the beach, with easy access and a great location. The glass bathroom walls make it pretty intimate, so it might not suit friends sharing. The bed was softer than I personally like, but otherwise it was perfect. I'll be back!

My €50 deposit still hadn't been returned nearly a week later, which added to my frustration. The room itself was in an unacceptable state: red-to-black stains on the pillowcase, mattress protector, and sheets, dirty towels, a strong sour smell, and silverfish moving around. The mattress cover was so thin you could see the mattress through it. That's basic hygiene. I slept in my clothes and kept my face off the pillow, so the night wasn't pleasant. I reported it with photos, but the reply was disappointing. It happened late on a weekend night, so it wasn't realistic to expect a fix then, despite what their email claimed, since I made the complaint after check-out. They offered just €25 in credit for a future stay, which was unreasonable. I won't return. The handling of this serious hygiene issue and the customer service were both very poor, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

You're only a couple of minutes on foot from the beach, and the train station is a ten-minute walk away. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, and the location was perfect.

Everything was clean and easy, and the stay was comfortable and lovely. It's also well located near the charming town of Uzés.
