Viva Sitges - Sitges View

We had a quiet room with comfortable beds and a huge bathroom, possibly an accessible one. The port view was lovely, and the hotel is in quite a classy area. Luckily, we’d brought our own travel kettle. The town is very chilled, with plenty of bars and restaurants for different tastes. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the train and town centre, and the modern trains were efficient for getting around each day. We also took a taxi to the airport for 65 euros and went to the stunning Melia nearby for drinks. We’d come back.

The bathroom is in the same room as the bed, so your other half can see everything. The layout is terrible. The pool was closed, we didn’t get the ocean view we’d ordered, and breakfast was horrible. I can’t stress this enough, don’t go.

We stayed one night, and the hotel’s listed parking price was €28 a day. But when we tried to drive out, the gatekeeper demanded €48 for the day, saying the €28 rate stopped at midday. He wouldn’t let us leave until we paid, and with a flight to England to catch, he deliberately held us up, just standing there without doing or saying anything. We had to hand over the €48 to those hungry dogs to make our flight on time. If you’re staying in Sitges, avoid anywhere near Sitges Port. The port area is boarded off, and they can charge insane prices for parking.

The staff at reception were so kind. I needed a coffee early in the morning, before the shops had opened, and they offered me one for free ☺️ It’s a lovely spot for watching the sunrise, so make sure to book a port view room. The AC wasn’t great, but since I was there in November, it didn’t bother me much.
