The parking beside the house is uncovered but unbelievably spacious. Inside, there are four bedrooms, one with its own bathroom, plus another full bathroom. The kitchen is large and well equipped, though there’s no dishwasher. There’s also a roomy terrace with a brand-new barbecue. A really welcoming house.

The quiet around here was a real highlight, especially if you want a peaceful break. Antonio got in touch himself after we booked and shared lots of useful tips on getting there, restaurants, and the best viewpoints in the Ribeira Sacra. The rustic decor feels warm and carefully put together, and the place had toiletries, towels in different sizes, and what we needed to cook. We were also grateful for the bottle of Mencía wine waiting when we arrived.

We spent a week here and found the apartment comfortable, with tasteful decor. The service was hard to fault, and our questions were answered straight away. There’s lovely countryside nearby for walks and winery visits, including Elías Olleiro in Gundibos. One bad experience was the bar at Sober Ribeira Sacra, where we were treated very poorly. Places we recommend include the Los Chancis pier, Cova beach and its restaurant, Rabacallos beach, Barxacova on the Orense shore, and the Ronsell winery.

The village is quiet, with several spectacular viewpoints close by, and the apartment made a great base for the places we wanted to see. It worked well for making dinner, too. Patricia was attentive throughout and made us feel at home. We loved the welcome gift, a bottle of delicious wine from a local winery. We’ll definitely come back.
