Ca'n Roses

Soller was our first stop in Mallorca, and we fell for both the area and this hotel. Tucked out of sight in the middle of town, it feels like a sanctuary, and stepping onto the grounds made us relax right away. The place is beautiful and peaceful, with the rooms spread out across lush, well-kept grounds and amazing views of the greenery and mountains. Even with several guests staying there, it stayed calm. The staff made us feel so welcome. Everyone was friendly, helpful and worked like a real team. Heidi, the adorable hotel beagle, greeted us and demanded belly rubs 🤣. Our rooms were beautiful and spotless. The included breakfast had plenty of choices, including eggs, fresh fruit, bread and pastries. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. We'll definitely be back.

We booked three rooms for six nights and paid a huge amount, but the value elsewhere seems much better. The hotel is beautiful, though the atmosphere felt sterile and strange. The front-of-house owners were welcoming at first, but their hospitality seemed forced, almost hostile. The bar staff, on the other hand, were lovely. They should lighten up, welcome people and respect how much guests are spending. Breakfast was minimal, and you have to pay extra for eggs. At these prices, why? We got back at 10:20 tonight and asked for a drink to take to our room. The staff were all in the bar but said it was closed. I love a quiet place, but you can't sit by the pool until 3 because there's a school right beside it, so it's not peaceful.

The location and garden with a pool are the main things you're paying for, right in the heart of Sóller. The rooms and facilities overall feel old and outdated, and the price is far too high for what's provided. Customer service and communication were very disappointing. Breakfast was very average. Even with the high room rate, you pay extra for eggs other than scrambled. Seriously? Air conditioning worked in only one of our rooms, so the stay was uncomfortable. The other room had a very noisy portable fan. Parking also costs €15 a day. I wouldn't recommend it. Poor value for money.

The pool is large and refreshing after a day of hiking or running, and it's set in a gorgeous garden. The gym is also top-notch and has everything you'd need for a proper workout. My room was spacious, bright and spotless. Breakfast was another highlight, with a great rotation of choices every day. I used to walk past without realizing what a gem was behind the door. Once inside, the warm welcome makes you feel at home. Special mention to Kevin, the barman, a real gentleman who gave me great local tips and recommendations. This is the best hotel I've stayed at in Mallorca, and I can't recommend it enough.
