We went in June 2025 for our first family holiday with our toddler. The hotel was clean and nicely presented, and the staff were cheerful, helpful and friendly. Our room was at the far end of the top floor in one wing. It was clean, looked good, and wasn't too noisy. There was sometimes noise from a local bar in the evening, but it never went on too late. The hotel entertainment could be heard sometimes too. The pools were clean and a good temperature, and we enjoyed all of them. The large pool has ladder steps at one end and easy steps at the other, though it's very deep in the middle. The children's pool is a good depth for kids and gets its water from the main pool. We always found something we all liked to eat, even if it was just chicken and chips. The food was a mix of English and local dishes, and it was nice overall. It got a bit repetitive in the second week, which actually helped with our toddler. Desserts looked amazing and were tasty, if very sweet and mostly similar in flavor. Drinks were good, sometimes brilliant and sometimes just normal. There was a special deal on drinks for guests who weren't all inclusive, and they accepted cash, despite what the people who sold us the holiday had told us. The room's air conditioning didn't work properly and never got cold enough. The fridge was useless too: it didn't get below 12°C, so our daughter's milk went off every day. Being shut in a cupboard made it worse. It just wasn't fit for keeping her milk and snacks. We didn't use the park shown in the hotel details. It's beside the hotel, but dangerously dirty, with the ground around it used as a giant litter tray by local cats and dog mess there too. I wouldn't recommend it at all. The nearby beach wasn't really for us either. Tree debris and seeds wash up and make it look dirty, and the grey shingle isn't pleasant to walk on. It's still nice for an evening stroll by the water if you don't want to walk the 15 minutes to the next beach. Cala Millor beach was about 15 minutes on foot for us, or half an hour for the grandparents with us. There are taxis, but if you walk, you pass plenty of shops and bars. You can also hire a family-sized bike, which makes the ride to the end of the beach fun. That beach has lovely white sand and turquoise water, plus lots of shops, cafés, bars, restaurants and entertainment. We really liked Mama Ines coffee, about halfway between the two beaches. They serve nice chips, pizza and burgers, plus delicious, refreshing cocktails. Even the children's sangria was tasty. The people there are friendly and welcoming, and the place is clean. We wouldn't recommend the market, which is half an hour away on foot or a bus ride. The bus was so busy that we waited for three, and each was too full to let anyone else on. Once there, the stalls had exactly the same products as the shops near the hotel. It felt like a waste of time and money, and it was far too hot for it. If you do want to go, a taxi is much quicker and actually worked out cheaper for us.

We were really pleased with our 14-day holiday, starting Sep 07, and we're already planning to come back next year. The hotel was quiet and clean, with a good pool area and plenty of sunbeds. Its location was handy for the beach and local attractions, while still being away from Cala Bona's lively center. The food was good quality, with the chef putting together a good selection each day. The staff made us feel welcome from the start and were friendly and helpful throughout. Special mention to Manuel at the front desk, Mr Manolo at the bar, and Mina and Saray in the restaurant.

The staff work hard, and the hotel is spotless. The pool area is very good too, with no scramble for sunbeds. But it feels like a good hotel trying hard to be something it isn't. The bedroom storage is poor, and the layout feels backwards: the bed is in the room with the kettle, fridge and balcony, while the living room has the sofa and TV. You end up staying in the bedroom. Food got repetitive over our eight days, with pork served in different forms and plenty of small salad portions, but little choice for main dishes. Breakfast was fine, though repetitive as well. There was a cheese board in the morning but not at night. The bar and lounge entertainment area is a joke, with impractical seating.

We had a great time at the entertainment on the two nights we stayed in, and ended up dancing. The downstairs pool was lovely, and we got a sunbed whenever we wanted. The water felt freezing at first, but once you got in it was fine, and we swam every day. We also met some lovely people and would recommend staying here. Can't wait to come back. It was our first stay, and the rooms were spacious, bright and a good size, with comfy beds. I only wish there were more places for toiletries in the bathroom. I know there's some room behind the mirror. The place was spotless, and all the staff were friendly and hardworking. The snack bar was great. Breakfast and lunch were good, while dinner was okay but could use more variety.

Cala Bona is beautiful and the hotel is in a great location, but there's little else to like. We paid 2600 for an all-inclusive stay and mostly ate out. I'd read good reviews before booking, but they weren't true. Avoid it if you don't want to waste your money. All inclusive doesn't mean all inclusive here. They charge for water, and the snack bar costs extra. Drinks without a label are just cheap ones, and premium drinks cost another 400 pounds. You get two tokens for drinks, and if you lose them, you can't get any. They only changed our bedding twice during a 10-day stay, saying it was to save on the economy. The food was lukewarm, the desserts were mouldy, and when I told the chef, he said it was fine. The bread was hard and stale, and the coffee machine was always empty. The man at the snack bar got orders wrong and seemed to understand English only when it suited him. Staff didn't smile, except for one nice young woman at reception. They also don't put cushions on the outside seats, saying it's because rain is expected. It just seemed like lazy staff. The entertainment was on twice in 10 days, and both acts were awful. I've heard better on a street corner.
