I stayed at the Levante Blue and couldn’t fault the hotel. The staff were incredibly kind and made my short stay enjoyable, and the food suited the British guests well. They seemed to make up all the guests while I was there. One confusing thing when booking is that Google shows just one pin for the two separate hotels, the Levante Blue and Lavante Park. I also didn’t see another hotel with beach and sea access, even along the stretch down to Cala Millor and up to the peninsula. Hiring bikes and riding the nearby Via Verde is well worth doing, I highly recommend it.

The food was fresh, very good, and there was always plenty to choose from. Staff at reception, the bar, and in the rooms were all friendly, and the rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels. The beds were comfortable, though we kept having to push them back together because they moved apart. One snag was the bar arrangement when it rained. Although the main bar is meant to be open from 10am to 1am, on a couple of wet days we found it closed from 2.30 to 5pm and were told to use the beach bar. You can’t get there from inside, so we would have been soaked getting to it. There were games, quizzes, and bingo throughout the day and evening. The other guests tended to be a little older, but that wasn’t a problem. The hotel and surrounding area were lovely, with bars to visit. Walking to Cala Millor and taking a boat trip to Porta Cristo are both worth it.

The hotel is close to the beach, the staff were really friendly, and we all had a lovely time. Just bear in mind that it works best if you want an all-inclusive resort and beach stay. The bus ride to Palma and the other sights was long and tiring. The buffet didn’t offer many options for vegetarians or vegans, and the specific rooms we requested weren’t available. Some facilities were out of order, too. The entertainment nearby was lovely to watch, but it ran very late and loudly. I’d still recommend the hotel, with those points in mind when booking.

I’m so disappointed with the room. We booked a suite through our travel agent, then visited the hotel in July to ask for a sunny room facing the pool. Nobody mentioned there would be an extra charge for that side, otherwise we would have paid it. Now we’re in a suite on the dark side, with no sun all day and a bleak balcony view. It overlooks the summer entertainment area, and people in the dining room opposite can see straight into our room unless we keep the curtains closed. Reception told me it costs another £10 a day for a room on the other side. A big part of my holiday is sitting in the evening sun on the balcony with a glass of wine and enjoying the view. Instead, we’re stuck in a dark room without sun or a decent view. We usually visit the island twice a year, and this is our first time staying at this beautiful hotel.

The one thing that really got to me was people putting towels on sunbeds at 6.30am, even though the pool didn’t open until 7, then heading off to breakfast and not coming back until around 11. For all seven days we ended up using the local beach in front of the sister hotel TUI Blui Lavante Park, paying 14 euros a day for two beds and a parasol. Apart from that, we had a fabulous stay at this stunning hotel. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom had a hairdryer, posh shower gel, and shampoo. There was also a free safe, air con, TVs, a kettle with tea and coffee, a small fridge, and water replenished daily by the lovely lady who cleaned the room and made the beds. Food was delicious, with lots of choice at breakfast and dinner, both self-service. The staff were lovely and service was great. Drinks were paid for at the desk after meals. A few Brits were quite rude, which was embarrassing. The sister hotel had great shows nearby, and bars, shops, and restaurants were easy to find in either direction. We enjoyed the boat trip from Cala Bona harbour. Tickets for two adults were 32 euro if bought the day before. The transfer took about an hour. We’d happily recommend the hotel and return.
