Hostal Caballeros

Horrible.

The cleaning was fantastic and the staff were very friendly, with excellent value for money. My single room was very small. It had a refrigerator, microwave, TV, and hairdryer, but there was no wardrobe or hooks for towels.

The personal service was outstanding, and David welcomed us warmly when we arrived. He also gave us great suggestions for places to visit and excursions. We stayed over Easter, and although I'd read the reviews and arrived with some reservations, I was completely disappointed. The location is right in the center and the cleanliness was excellent. The rooms and stairs are small, but the photos show that. I'd definitely stay again.

The place can be older or less comfortable, but cleanliness is essential, and this was awful. Forks were greasy, the toilet bowl was dirty, the table edges grimy, and the bed smelled of tobacco. We didn't sleep in the car because of my son and the temperature in Soria, but at dawn, even with it at -4 degrees Celsius, we got out of there. It was a horrible night. We had to carry our suitcases and my son's stroller up two flights of stairs with no elevator, then found that the two beds in our room for three, two adults and a child, were tiny. The "apartment" wasn't in the best condition. I might not have left a review for that alone, but the lack of cleanliness was too much.
