Lovely hosts and a lovely house.

The meal Ana cooked for us was delicious, and she even gave us a bottle of wine. We’d found the village restaurant was closed, so she kindly offered to make us dinner. Ana takes such good care of her guests. Sometimes it’s worth going a kilometer or two off the Camino to find a place like this. Everything was perfect. Thank you, Ana!

Ana is lovely, and the house was spotless. We only met her, and she thoughtfully left local wine, cookies, and coffee for us. Pets are welcome too. The place has its own entrance and a small garden with a barbecue, table, and chairs. There’s also a little inflatable pool that, with a hose, should be great for adults and kids on hot days. Though separate, the house feels connected to the owners’ home, which gives me a sense of security I appreciate. Inside, there’s a large kitchen-dining room, one bedroom with three single beds, another with a double bed, and a bathroom with a shower. Sotés is a small village, well placed for exploring La Rioja and nearby towns like Laguardia. To find the house, just follow the village’s main street straight ahead to a quiet area where parking is easy. You can’t miss it.

The house is in a quiet but lively little village near Logroño, and it has everything you need, from toiletries and cleaning products to basic kitchen supplies and toys for children. It’s beautiful inside and out. Ana is attentive to every detail and a great host. There are lovely sunrises from the house, and for stunning sunsets, the church is just a five-minute walk away. A great place to stay in La Rioja.
