There’s a steep climb from town to the campsite, short but challenging, though well worth it. Once there, the site is peaceful, with lovely views, and exceptionally well kept. The staff were welcoming, and there’s even a dog wash room with a doggy hairdryer. The little town nearby is quiet but has a bar, shop and restaurant. For cycling, you can take the easy Bidasoa Greenway or head for the hills.

The views were lovely, and some donkeys wandered over to say hello. The campsite has clean facilities and a restaurant on site. It’s about a 15-minute walk downhill to town, then a 20-minute climb back up. Not much was open yet, but it was still nice for a stroll and a drink.

A handy stop for a motorhome just after crossing from France into Spain. The pitch they first offered us was a little tight, but the helpful staff let us pick a different one.

The place is lovely and the staff were great. The steep road up caused my car’s clutch to burn out, so you’ll need a good towing car. Still, it’s worth the drive and I’d happily give it more stars.

The 850m climb up the steep hill is the one drawback, but this campsite was a great find. It has a well-equipped little shop with the basics and a nice small restaurant serving simple, well-seasoned food. The staff were lovely, the toilets clean, and the water warm with good pressure. Facilities seemed well equipped, with separate bay and dog areas. A lovely, quiet place for a good night. x
